Policies
Research Proponents
Faculty members are encouraged to develop and submit research proposals. In the allocation of research funds, however, priority is given to full-time permanent faculty members. Faculty members who have full-time probationary status may be considered principal proponents upon the recommendation of the college dean. Under meritorious circumstances, part-time faculty members may qualify as co-proponents.
Research proposals should be along the faculty proponent's line of expertise. Otherwise, the research project may not qualify for research funding.
Faculty members who have ongoing research projects are discouraged from undertaking new research projects.
