Guidelines for Formation and Accreditation of Alumni Clubs
What clubs may be formed?
1. Any club may be formed provided it and its vision-mission and/or objectives are not contrary to law and to all existing policies of DLSU-D, to the Constitution and By-Laws of DLSAA DLSU-D Chapter Inc, and are morally and socially acceptable.
2. The club may be based on previous associations or activities while in school (i.e. Council of Student Organizations, Heraldo Filipino, ROTC, University Student Council, and College Student Council) or after graduation (i.e. badminton, bowling, bodybuilding, practical shooting, etc.).
Who may organize and join?
1. Only active alumni in good standing may organize/or join the club.
2. Active alumni in good standing are those who have paid their alumni fee and have an updated alumni card. These include alumni-in-residence or those who spent two calendar years of the equivalent of four semesters in DLSU-D.
What are the requirements for Accreditation?
1. A minimum of five (5) active alumni may form a club.

Procedures for Application
1. An application letter together with the requirements must be addressed and submitted to the Office of the Vice President for Homecoming for screening and endorsement.
2. The Vice President shall present the application during the monthly DLSAA DLSU-D Chapter, Inc Executive Council (EXECOM) meeting for approval. The Executive Council shall then elevate its decision to the members of the Board of Trustees (BOT) for confirmation.
3. If approved, the alumni club may immediately commence business upon receipt of the decision.
4. The period of accreditation for alumni club shall be valid until expressly revoked by the incumbent DLSAA DLSU-D Chapter, Inc. The first year of recognition shall be on probationary status. Promotion to regular status may be attained on the second year based on the evaluation of the EXECOM and BOT. The status of an alumni club may be raised or reverted to a lower status depending on its performance.
Revocation
1. The recognition of any club may be revoked anytime by the incumbent EXECOM and BOT for a cause.
2. Grounds include but not limited to violation of the Constitution and By-Laws and existing resolutions of DLSAA DLSU-D Chapter, Inc., maligning the good reputation of the University and DLSAA DLSU-D Chapter, Inc., engaging in illegal and immoral activities, etc.
Funding
* The alumni club shall find means to fund their own activities.
Format
1. For uniformity, the name alumni clubs shall be a two or three-word description of the special interest/activity/place. (Eg. ‘DLSU-D Council of Student Organizations Alumni Club”, “DLSU-D Texas USA Alumni Club”, “DLSU-D Tanay Rizal Alumni Club”, “DLSU-D Badminton Alumni Club”, “DLSU-D Bodybuilding Alumni Club, etc.
2. All clubs must observe the fiscal year calendar from January 1 to December 31. Basically, each club must have the following officers/positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor. Other positions may be created and appointed at the pleasure of the Club.
