Rationale
The aspect of globalization is very much with us;hence, there is a need of acquiring proficiency in the language of the global village, which is English.
English is the language of commerce and industry and even of education. DLSU-Dasmariñas is in ideal position to answer this need because we have the resources and facilities required to offer English language courses to students, business practitioners and other professionals in the Philippines.
Objectives
The program aims to provide:
- adequate vocabulary needed for communicative interactions in English;
- a substantial information about the critical grammatical structures necessary for communicative functions such as describing, giving and following directions / instrucitons, etc.;
- ample opportunities to learn conversational and academic English; and
- a variety of exercises to hone reading and writing skills.
