Rationale
Considering that intense competition has crowded the workplace, industries and businesses seek graduates who are not only excellent at their respective disciplines but also communicatively competent.
The Language Learning Center offers the English Proficiency Program for graduating students for the realization of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas' thrust in shaping highly competent and proficient graduates.
Course Description
The English Proficiency Program (EPP) for graduating students is a 20-hour non-credit seminar course workshop. A student who successfully finishes all EPP modules will be awarded a certificate needed for student clearance.
OBJECTIVES :
The English Proficiency Program aims to:
- Equip learners with adequate knowledge of language forms and functions as they are used in the workplace.
- Provide a variety of activities that will help students apply sound principles on language and related aspects to communication.
- Guide students to foresee and adjust to problems encountered when applying for a job.
COURSE CONTENT (EPP)
- Module 1 - Basics of Grammar
- Module 2 - Conversational English
- Module 3 - Application Letter and Resume Writing
- Module 4 - Job Interview Basics (with Power Dressing and Personality Development) Culminating Activity- Mock Interview
