Re      :       Holy Week Announcement

In view of the upcoming Holy Week and several year-end activities in and outside the University, we would like to apportion certain intervals in our school's daily operations. Please take note of the following details:

1. On March 19, 2008(Wednesday), Offices will be open only up to 12:00 nn.

2. On March 19(pm), 20, 21,22,23 and 31, 2008, the school will be closed and all areas/departments will not be in operation.

Please be guided accordingly.

We have taken cognizance that there is a need inside our university community for a venue that could accommodate at least a thousand, or more persons in one assembly.  Such events include: Academics, Sports, Religious, Civic, General faculty-students- non-teaching staff assemblies, and correlated activities, including opportunities for our external communities. Keeping this great concern in mind, we are in the process of doing some renovations in the Palaruang La Salle in phases.  To give it an all-around name, we would like to rename the Palaruang La Salle to a more generic name that would capture all the multi-related activities expected in this venue on a long term.  We would like to rename the Palaruang La Salle by inviting our faculty, students, and non-teaching support staff to participate if you wish, to submit a proposed name keeping the name La Salle and changing Palaruang to another generic Filipino term before the words La Salle.  You are invited to submit your entries through your respective Deans or Heads of Offices who in turn will submit these to your respective Vice Chancellors.  Please identify the Units, Colleges or Offices you represent.  For those who wish to participate, deadline for submission of entries shall be on or before July 31, 2007.  The winning entry shall receive a cash prize of P 5,000.00.

Please be informed that the De La Salle Brothers’ Community in De La Salle University-Dasmariñas shall be sponsoring each morning from Monday to Friday for S.Y. 2007-2008 the celebration of Holy Mass at 6:30 A.M. at the Chapel of the Most Holy Rosary.  The Brothers will be present at mass each morning, and we are welcoming each and every member of the University Community to join us where we can all praise God to pray for intentions requested, and seek His blessings.  Requested mass intentions may be forwarded to the Office of the Director of the Campus Ministry on the 4th floor of the Chapel.

We shall also be offering every Saturday an Anticipated Sunday Mass celebration at 5:00 P.M. intended for everyone especially those who reside on campus.  Each Saturday, we shall welcome groups that would like to sponsor the Mass.  Mass is open to all.  Please take note that the 12:15 P.M. daily Mass shall continue.  God bless.
