Our congratulations to senior AB Communication students
Emmanuel Cogama, Jake Ofrasio, Lovella Ramos, Oliver
Ronquillo and Audrey Rose Silo for winning 3rd place in the
17th Gawad CCP para sa Alternatibong Pelikula for their
short experimental film dubbed Scythe.

Last year, the same group of aspiring film-makers won the
grand prize in the Un Chien Andalou Award and 1st runner
up in the UP Inyorai Bidyo Festival for the same
experimental filmentry.

Scythe, which revolves around human perception of life
after death, was originally a project in the group’s Film
Appreciation class.


status report

To update the faculty members on the status of several
projects of the Faculty Association (FA) and to enlighten
them on several issues, the FA held a general assembly at
the Severino De Las Hall Auditorium, February 18.

The assembly included reports on the income generated
from the FA concert, across the board tuition fee increase,
withdrawal of the 13th month pay of faculty members with
overload teaching units and the status of the multipurpose
cooperative project. The venue for the FA outing and the
DLSU System sportsfest were also discussed in the
meeting.
