Medina talks on educ’l trends
Dr. Nieves Medina, dean of the Graduate School of Education, Arts and Sciences, was invited by the College Department of Imus Institute to deliver a talk on Innovations Relevant to Tertiary Education at the Imus Institute Auditorium, September 12.

Attended by 65 faculty members, Medina’s talk focused on the paradigm shifts in education, and methodologies and strategies in teaching higher education courses.

On the same day, Medina was also invited by Cavite School of Life to talk on the topic Classroom Management. Teachers from nearby schools likewise attended the seminar, which was aimed at reinforcing their skills in classroom discipline.

Masagca delivers talk at nat’l research forum
Dr. Jimmy Masagca, director of the Center for Multidisciplinary Researches and Linkages of the Graduate School of Education, Arts and Sciences, was invited as resource person in the National Research Forum on Educational Technology at Hotel Supreme in Baguio City, September 10-12.

Dr. Masagca delivered a talk on “Pedagogy, Technology and Synergism or PTECHS and e-learning initiatives at DLSU-D”. He likewise shared ideas on Partial Mode Distance Education course and “blended approach” in science teaching and the significance of the strong support from the administration of DLSU-D in establishing an electronic community through the academic portals and e-learning initiatives.

The national forum with the theme Applied Educational Technology: Breaking Classroom Barriers was sponsored by the Research and Educational Development Training Institute and the Institute of Graduate Studies of the Central Luzon State University.
