DLSU-D studes prevail at PRISAA contests

DLSU-D prevailed at the recently concluded academic and
cultural competitions of the Private Schools Athletic
Association (PRISAA) at the University of Perpetual Help-
Molino, November 20-21.

In the academic competitions, Kromwel Rebosura of BSC45,
with coach Randee Calderon, won 1st place in the
computer quiz, while Elmer Gabutan of HUB13, coached by
Noralyn Pantino, Jovencito Yañez, Marlon Pareja, won 2nd
place in the Science and Math quiz bee. Coached by
Benjamin Zamora, Kristine Avril Idio of COM41 won 3rd
place in the oratorical contest and Ann Rose Manalaotao of
Com32 won 5th place in the extemporaneous speaking
contest.

Further, the DLSU-D Filipiniana Dance Troupe bested the
rest of the contestants in the Creative Ethnic Folk Dance.

From the roster of beauties, Finky Carandang trained by
Joel Refuerzo, bagged the most coveted title of Mutya ng
PRISAA. She was also awarded Ms. Photogenic, Best in
Sportswear, and Best in Long Gown. She will represent
Cavite in the PRISAA national level with another beauty
from the Rogationist Academy.
