Christmas @ DLSU-D

The De La Salle University-Dasmariñas community will hold
several gatherings on the third week of the month to
celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

On December 18, the Faculty Association will hold a get-
together for all faculty members at the Orchard Golf and
Country Club in Dasmariñas. Themed Sangguruang
Lasalyano Sama-sama Ngayong Pasko, the Christmas Party
will be coupled with a raffle bonanza where gift checks
amounting to Php 10,000, 7,000 and 4,000 will be given
away as prizes.

To gather all the sectors of the DLSU-D community, the
administration will host an Institutional Christmas Party on
December 19 at the Lake Park. This year’s merry-making
activity, which will start off with a Holy Mass at the
university chapel, will include raffle draws, games and
contests such as Calendar Girls, Mr. Suave and Otso-
otso/Spaghetti Dance Contests in the afternoon.

Calendar Girls is a fashion show where male participants
will dress like female models. Mr. Suave, on the other
hand, is open to female members of the community who
will dress and act like males.

To add more fun to the affair, groups of five to six
members will dance employing the otso-otso and spaghetti
steps.

Moreover, the Kapatiran ng Bagong Lakas ng Isipan,
Kaunlaran at Tatag (KABALIKAT) will hold its Christmas
Party on December 22 at the square canteen. The affair
will have raffles and games. Newly elected KABALIKAT
officers will also be sworn into office during the affair.

3 parties vie for KABALIKAT seats

Three parties vie for 2004-2005 Kapatiran ng Bagong
Lakas ng Isipan, Kaunlaran at Tatag (KABALIKAT) office.
Kabalikat Po Ninyo (KPN), Kasapi ng Samahang
Manggagawa ng De La Salle University-Dasmariñas
(KASANGGA) and Sa Puso Ko, Ipaglalaban ang Karapatan
mo, Empleyado ng La Salle-Dasmariñas (SPIKE La Salle-
Dasmariñas) are the official parties for the forthcoming
election of officers at the Executive House, December 15.

KPN party bets are Mylene Joson for president, Domiciano
Mendoza for vice president, Elizabeth Mendoza for
secretary, Ruby Saquiton for treasurer, Glean Anniversario
for auditor and Dennis Ian Bautista, Lilia Bautista, Jesus
Rex Ceballos, Jenielyn Espineli and Dina Gagasa for board
members.

KASANGGA party candidates include Nolasco Bayalan for
president, Arman Barbuco for vice president, Marichu
Tapagnan for secretary, Dionisia Alberto for treasurer,
Melinda Roasa for auditor and Adornado Jordan, Analiza
Alvaran, Dario Cadavedo, Rodora Alcaraz, and Susan Lara-
Joya for board members.

SPIKE La Salle–Dasmariñas party aspirants are Gilbert
Poblete for president, Marites Velado for vice president,
Aileen Mararagan for secretary, Melanie Velante for
treasurer, Adelina Leyba, Edwin Javier and Ruben Tantuan
for board members.

The comelec will hold a miting de avance at the
Multipurpose Hall of the Severino De Las Hall, December 13
to present the candidates and their agenda.
