crisis management

When accidents are not properly dealt with, they become
emergencies. When emergencies are not contained, they
become crises.

These were the ideas conveyed by Philippine State College
of Aeronautics Vice President for Academics Dr. Bernard
Ramirez, who delivered a lecture on Crisis Management on
December 3 at the Alumni Auditorium.

In his talk, Dr. Ramirez highlighted the faculty members’
role in containing crises. He stressed that the part the
teaching staff could play should not be underestimated.

Through the said lecture, which was sponsored by the
University Faculty Development Program Committee, the
faculty attendees learned steps and considerations on how
to cope with possible crises that the university might be
subjected to.

halina sa Museo

On December 12, Museo De La Salle, in cooperation with
the Lasallian Community Development Center, will hold its
annual community outreach program entitled Halina sa
Museo. This year’s participants are 50 children from the
Bautista Elementary School in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

The activity will be at 9am-12nn, beginning with a tour of
the museum. A free visual arts workshop, to be conducted
by the Museo faculty and staff, will follow.

Faber Castelle (Croun Supplies Corporation) will be
providing the materials for the art workshop, while the
Graduate School of Education, Arts and Sciences, College
of Engineering and Technology and La Buena Comida will
sponsor lunch for the participants.
