Dean Chavez completes
teaching stint in China

College of Business Administration Dean Gloria Chavez recently came back from a successful two-week teaching stint in China.

Dr. Chavez handled an Organizational Behavior class (in English) with 80 management junior students in Anhui University from April 8-26 as an exchange faculty.

“It was quite an experience. I was called ‘the foreign teacher’ and was very much respected. In fact, students would visit at the guest house of the School of International Education just to converse with me,” recalled Chavez. At times, graduate students and even faculty of the university would sit in her class to learn and also to practice their English.

Another DLSU-D faculty will be sent to teach at the same university soon. On the other hand, Anhui University President Dr. Huang Dekuan will visit DLSU-D sometime in January.

This exchange was made possible by an agreement between DLSU-Dasmariñas and Anhui University.
