3rd CHED-CRC research conference held at DLSU-D

In its consistent support in promoting research throughout the country, DLSU-D, through its University Faculty Research Office, hosted the 3rd Commission on Higher Education-CHED Region IV-A Research Council, Inc. (CHED-CRC) Research Conference 2009. CHED-RO IV Education Supervisor Corazon Cortez-Ampongan was the keynote speaker of this year’s conference dubbed People-Private-Public Initiatives. The said research conference served as a venue for an academic exchange of ideas of teachers through their researches from higher education institutions all over CALABARZON.

Researches in the areas of business, economics and livelihood, research in health, wellness and medical sciences, engineering and technology, heritage, culture and arts, tourism and environment, education, social sciences, physical sciences, and natural sciences were presented in the plenary session, parallel sessions, and poster session.

Majority of the conference presenters were faculty members from different departments of the University. Presenters for the plenary session are Marlon Pareja of the Biological Sciences Department (BSD) and Dr. Joy-Alvi Rubio Arañas of the Student Wellness Center (SWC). Dr. Marites Burgos, Elmer Jimenez, and Glessi Anadilla-Cantada of SWC, Jennifer Biñas, Dr. Joseph Samonte, Wilfredo Aguinaldo, and Michael Lajara of the Physical Sciences Department (PSD), Jonathan Rubio and Ma. Luisa Cuaresma of BSD, Dr. Nilo Cabides and Dr. Fanny Cuyos of the Religious Education Department, and Dr. Jing Reyes of Social Sciences Department were the presenters for the parallel sessions while Rhonalyn Vergara from PSD was the only poster presenter.
