DLSU-D DORMITORY

The De La Salle University-Dasmariñas Dormitory provides on-campus residence for DLSU-D students. A home away from home, it envisions itself to be a place where students may experience the Lasallian spirit as they learn the values of love, peace, and unity.

 

Housing facilities

The University Student Housing, which is a cluster of eleven buildings, lies on the northern end of the 27-hectare campus. Male residents are housed in eight of these buildings namely, Acacia, Bagtikan, Kamagong, Katmon, Lawaan, Molave, Narra, and Yakal. Female students stay in units named after flowers, which are Ilang-ilang, Sampaguita, and Waling-waling. Seven out of the eleven buildings offer air conditioned and nonair conditioned rooms. The dormitory facilities are summarized below for your easy reference.

 

 



 

Each Dormitory unit is provided with the following:
- a bed with mattress per occupant
- a chair per occupant
- one(1) mirror per bathroom
- a key per occupant
- one(1) refrigerator
- a built-in cabinet
- a fixed study table with bookshelf
- an orbit fan

The New Dormitory building has the following:
- a bed with mattress per occupant
- a chair per occupant
- one (1) mirror per bathroom
- keys for main and cabinet doors
- one (1) refrigerator
- a study table
- two (2) orbit fans per unit



Php-2,700.00 w/o air-con per head
Php-3,000.000w/ air-con per head

A common dormitory provides the following
- a bed with mattress per occupant
- a chair per occupant
- a built-in cabinet
- Two (2) orbit fans

POLCA units provide the following:
•  a bed with mattress per occupant
•  a chair per occupant
•  one (1) mirror per bathroom
•  a key for the occupant
•  one (1) refrigerator
•  a cabinet
•  a fixed study table with bookshelf
•  one (1) air-con unit




Php- 3,000.00 per head

 

Other Facilities and Services

Health Service

The School Clinic, which has a staff composed of a full-time nurse, a physician, and a dentist, is open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. noon during Saturday. In case of emergency at night, a driver and a school vehicle are on call for DLSU-D students. The De La Salle Medical Center is only half kilometer away from the campus and gives priority to DLSU-D students.

Canteen and Other Services

Staying in the dormitory has proximity advantages. Just outside the gate of the residential area are canteens. Concessionaires serve nutritious meals from breakfast to dinner until 9:00 p.m. School supplies and necessities are on hand. A bookstore is located at the East Campus, on the first floor of the SBC building. There is also an internet café within the dormitory area open from 8am-10pm, which likewise serves snacks.

Recreation

The gymnasium (Ugnayang La Salle) and its facilities, such as basketball courts, table tennis, volleyball and badminton equipment etc. are available for recreational needs. There are three (3) basketball courts, two in the gymnasium and one in an open court behind the Administration building (Gregoria Montoya Hall). An Olympic-size swimming pool located near the gymnasium is also available for students' use. To add, there is an oval for outdoor sports and athletics. These and a lot more could be enjoyed by the occupants.

Parking

There are designated parking areas inside the residential compound so the occupants with cars could assure the safety of their vehicles.

Interphone

A one-way speaker (interphone) is provided for each room to facilitate communication among occupants. It also keeps them in touch with the office of the dorm administration/matron.

Telephone

Pay telephones are conveniently located in the following areas: at the Executive House receiving area, at the canteens near the Dormitory, and at the SBC canteen. Residents may use the telephones from Monday to Sunday, until 9:00 p.m. However, long, unnecessary chats that tie up phone lines should be avoided. Telephones should only be used for urgent calls.

Security Services

Security officers ensure the safety and convenience of the residents twenty four hours a day. A roving guard is designated in the area to make sure that the place is free from any disturbance.

Requirements

To avail all the abovementioned amenities, students should primarily be officially enrolled at DLSU-Dasmariñas. Those interested should prepare the following:

one (1) 2 x 2 picture
residence certificate
xerox copy of registration form
one(1) month advance and two(2) months deposit
