Annual Cavitewide Search for Math Wizards
            The Mathematics Department, in collaboration with the Students Admissions Office (SaDO) and the College of Science (COS), advocated the "Cavitewide Search for Math Wizards."  This is held every second semester of the school year.  The activity is a way of showing the department's commitment in providing opportunities to students to hone their skills in mathematics.  The contest is open to high school students in Cavite who are on their junior and senior years.  It was first instigated last November 13, 2004.  The second and third were carried out in November 12, 2005 and November 11, 2006 respectively.  The winners of the search shall enjoy scholarship grants for BS Applied Math program, cash prize, medals and trophy.

University Search for Math Wizards
            The University Search for Math Wizards is being held as part of the celebration of the Mathematics Month in February. It is the Mathematics Department’s way of encouraging the students to showcase their skills in mathematics through a quiz competition as well as enhance their appreciation for the subject. The competition, which was first held in 2005, is open to groups of 3 non-graduating students coming from the same college. The winners are awarded with certificates, medals and cash prizes.

Annual Statistics Quiz
                The Mathematics Department in coordination with the College of Science Student Council (COSSC) promoted the Annual Statistics Quiz Bee.  This is held every October (Statistics Month) of the year.   The contest is open exclusively for students of DLSU-Dasmariñas with 3 members per team.  The winners are receiving cash prize.

Training of Students for Off-Campus Competitions 
            Chosen students are being trained regularly by a pool of faculty members from the Mathematics Department to prepare them for quiz competitions outside the university.

Seminars/Workshops for Students
            The Mathematics Department conducts seminars and workshops at least once every semester to students in various areas of mathematics. The seminars are intended to provide students supplementary lessons as well as introduce new techniques applied in mathematics.
