Admission Policy

Freshmen

The College of Science conforms with the institutional policies for admitting freshmen.

Shiftee

A student who intends to shift to the Computer Science and Information Technology programs should:
1. Have a GPA of at least 85% (or 2.0 in the numerical grading system)
2. Have no failing grade in academic and non-academic subjects
3. Pass the qualifying exam administered by the department
4. Pass the interview conducted by the following:
    a. Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator
    b. Dean and/or Associate Dean

Requirements:


Shiftees within COS - classcards in all subjects previously taken
Shiftees from other colleges - certification of grades from the Registrar
Note: Students are allowed to shift to any COS program only once. Fourth year students are prohibited from shifting to another program.

Transferee

A student from another school who intends to transfer to DLSU-Dasmariñas College of Science should:
1. have a GPA of at least 85%;
2. submit the following: recommendation letters from at least two professors; certification of good moral character & transcript of records from previous school
3. pass the interview conducted by the Chair and/or Program Coordinator; Dean and/or Associate Dean.
4. pass the DLSU-Dasmariñas entrance test. A transferee shall be placed on probation for one semester. If he performs well in academics and manifests upright behavior, he shall be considered a regular student the following semester.
