Program Objectives

Doctor of Philosophy in Language Education with Specialization in English

    The program aims to develop research-oriented English mentors, writers, and experts who are knowledgeable of the varied forms of the English language, the essential language learning theories and their philosophical and logical foundations. Graduates of this degree are expected to be equipped with a high degree of preparation and research orientation that will give them credence to defend or argue the efficacy of English language programs viewed from various perspectives, the evolving theories of English language teaching and learning, and the immeasurable significance of the language as the recognized global language.

Master of Arts in Teaching-English (MAT-E)

    The program develops among its students the theoretical, philosophical and pedagogical foundations of teaching English as a second/foreign language, thus, equipping them with scholarly knowledge to effectively handle language classes in all levels of the academe, likewise, become consultants/experts in their own discipline.

Master of Arts in Filipino (MA-FIL)

    Sa kursong ito, inihahanda ang mga mag-aaral na mahawan/malinang ang kaalaman nang buong husay sa wika at panitikan, tungo sa malalim at malawak na pang-unawa sa mga isyu at kalakarang pangwika at panliteratura, kaugnay ng kanilang disiplina. Sa dakong huli ay mapalakas ang diwa ng nasyonalismo at ng iba pang mga pagpapahalagang moral na napapaloob sa kulturang kinalakhan ng lahing Pilipino

Master of Arts in Teaching-Social Sciences (MAT-SS)

    The program equips future social scientists/educators essential input to engage in scientific undertakings of social phenomenon particularly emerging trends to help solve the complex problems of developing nations through inquiring thereby contributing to the socio-cultural and politico-economic advancement.
