Admission Policy
The following shall be the bases for admission to the AB Community Development minor in Community Psychology program by SY 2000 - 2001.
I. Freshmen
CLA conforms with the institutional policies.
II. Shiftees
1. Shiftees should have a GPA of at least 85% or its equivalent.
2. Shiftees should have no failing grades in all academic and nonacademic subjects.
3. Shiftees should pass the panel interview to be conducted by the Department Chair, Program Coordinator, selected faculty members, and Associate Dean.
4. Shiftees should submit a letter of consent from their parent/guardian.
5. Shiftees should submit a 2 x 2 picture.
6. Shiftees should secure shifting form from the Registrar's office.
III. Transferees:
1. Transferees must have a GPA of at least 85% or its equivalent.
2. Transferees must not have failing grades in all academic and nonacademic subjects.
3. Transferees must submit the following:
3.1 Recommendation letters from at least two (2) former professors.
3.2 Certificate of Good Moral Character.
3.3 Temporary transcript of records from previous school.
3.4 Transferees form from the DLSU-D Admission and Testing Office.
3.5 Pass the DLSU-D entrance test.
IV. Retention Policies for Shiftees and Transferees.
All shiftees and transferees shall be placed on probation for one (1) school year. Students on probation shall not accumulated failing grades of more that six (6) units both in the academic and nonacademic subjects during the probation period, otherwise, he/she will not be readmitted to the program the following school year. However, final grades in excess of six (6) units shall be retaken during the probation period in order to be readmitted to the program.
Those who had been readmitted by virtue of the paragraph shall not incur any failing marks for that semester in order to be retained in the program.
Other circumstances not covered by the proceeding provisions shall be decided by the Chair and/or Coordinator of the respective program and the Associate Dean.
V. Policy for Returning Students
Returning students bring the following for readmission:
1. Copy of his/her Letter of Absence or an accomplished clearance.
2. Classcards during his/her last attendance to the university, and
3. Registration form
VI. Retention Policy for Regular Students
Retention policy for regular students shall be covered by Section 11 of the students handbook SY 1998 - 2002. |
