College of International Hospitality Management

Admission Policy

A. Freshman

The college conforms to the institutional policies for the admission of freshmen. Likewise, the student applicant must meet the following to qualify for admission :

1. Admission test score of 75 per cent or better;
2. Height of at least 5'2" for female and 5'5" for male
3. Satisfactory result of interview conducted by the dean/chair/faculty;
4. Not more than 20 years old

B. Transferee
A student from another school who wishes to transfer to the CIH, DLSU-D should have:

1. At least five remaining semesters to complete his program
2. A GPA of at least 85 per cent or its equivalent;
3. No failed subject from his current and/or previous school/s;
4. Height of at least 5'3" for female and 5'5" for male;
5. Pass the interview with the dean/chair; and
6. An age not more than 24 years old.

An applicant must submit the following:
1. Transcript of records or certification of grades from the Registrar's office of his current school;
2. Recommendation letters from two former professors; and
3. Certificate of Good Moral Character.

C. Shiftee
A student from another college of the university who wishes to transfer to the CIH should have:
1. At least five remaining semesters to complete his program;
2. A GPA of at least 85% or its equivalent;
3. No failed subject from his current and/or previous school/s;
4. A height of at least 5'3" for female and 5'5" for male;
5. Passed the interview of the Dean/Chair; and
6. An age not more than 24 years old.

An applicant must submit the following:
1. Certification of grades from the Registrar's Office;
2. Recommendation Letters from two former professors; and
3. Certificate of Good Moral Character from the Office of the Student Affairs.

Retention Policy
A CIH student:
1. must not exceed six (6) accumulated failed subjects at the end of any term to be allowed to continue enrolling in the college.
2. is allowed three (3) chances to take and pass a major subject. Failure to pass after the 3rd chance shall make him/her ineligible to continue the program, even if he/she has not accumulated the maximum allowable failures yet.
3. will be retained in the college despite six (6) or more failures if he/she has 48 academic units left to complete before graduation.
Deloading of subjects equivalent to the number of units failed is a precondition for enrolment the following semester.
The corresponding units of subject failed, which is taken and passed with a grade of 2.0 or better, shall be deducted from the accumulated units of failures. The failing mark will still appear in the official transcript of records.
