Research Agenda and Thrusts
OVERVIEW
The College strives as a leading institution in Engineering, Architecture and Technology education through offering relevant, responsive academic programs, research, and community extension services. With its state of the art laboratory equipment, the faculty and students can conduct innovative researches and experiments geared for engineering and architectural advancement that will strengthen the academe and industry linkages. Students learn to become planners and builders who will spearhead the technological and economic improvement of our country. Through the research output of the faculty, the college establishes itself as partner of the government for national economic and development, and the conservation and preservation of the environment.
RESEARCH THRUSTS
The College research activities are focused on establishing the following: comprehensive management on solid and liquid waste, production of gas from organic waste, development of alternative renewable energy resources, product development, training equipment and technology management.
RESEARCH AGENDA
Researches in the College cover the following spectrum of activities: Comprehensive management of solid and liquid waste within the premises of DLSU-D campus from collection up to recycling and disposal; production of gas from organic waste; development of training equipment, instructional materials and laboratory manuals; finding a substitute material for concrete epoxy; and development of Low Speed Wind Windmill Generator.
Also, the College aims to be recognized as testing center for construction materials in Cavite and the Calabarzon.
