Admission Procedure

Students applying in any of the MBA programs must follow the following procedures:

A. For Local Students:

1. Submit the following to the GSB :

  • Two (2) photocopies of duly certified transcript of college records and diploma(Present the original copy.)
  • Two (2) copies of resume
  • Two (2) photocopies of diploma
  • Two (2) copies of Letter of recommendation from employer or professor
  • Two (2) copies Certificate of employment
  • Four (4) passport size pictures

2. Secure application from the GSB Office.
3. Take the entrance examination on the scheduled date.
4. After a week, secure the examination results from the GSB office and confirm the schedule of interview by the Dean.

B. For Foreign Students

1. Submit the following documents to the GSB office:

  • Two (2) photocopies of student visa and passport
  • Two (2) copies of resume
  • Two (2) photocopies of diploma
  • Two (2) photocopies of college transcript of records and diploma in English, duly authenticated by the local Philippine Embassy
  • Four (4) passport size pictures
  • Two (2) copies of Certificate of employment
  • Two (2) copies of Letter of recommendation from employer
  • Two (2) photocopies of authenticated birth certificate in native language, with English translation.

2. Secure application from the GSB Office.
3. Take the English Proficiency Test on the scheduled date.
4. Take the entrance examination as scheduled.
5. After a week, secure the examination results from the GSB office and confirm the schedule of interview by the Dean.
6. Submit to the GSB office a copy of the official receipt of the Foreign Students Fee.

Other Procedures

1. PROCEDURE IN DROPPING OF SUBJECT (S)

1.1. A student who would like to drop a subject(s) should secure a Dropping Form from the GSB Office and should be processed not later than the specified period for dropping (please refer to the GSB School Calendar). He submits the form to the GSB Office for evaluation, and finally for the Dean's approval with an attached explanation letter, together with other documents (if any). The said dropping form should have the following:

1.1.1. Professor's signature of the subject being dropped;

1.1.2. Class Card of the subject being dropped;

1.2. Certificate of Registration (COR) has to be updated by submitting recent COR to the GSB Office for processing;afterwhich,go to the cashier's window for payment.

1.3. A subject will only be considered officially dropped (OD) if the said Dropping Form has been processed through the Accounting Office; otherwise, the said subject(s) to be dropped will incur a grade of 0.0.

1.4. Copy of the Dropping Form duly validated by the GSB Office and Accounting Office should be returned to the GSB Office for filing.

2. PROCEDURE IN ADDING / CHANGING OF SUBJECT (S)

2.1. A student who would like to add or change a subject should secure an Adding/Changing Form from the GSB Office, then submits it to the GSB Administrative Assistant for evaluation, and finally for the Dean's approval.

2.2. Update your Certificate of Registration (COR) by submitting your recent COR to the GSB Office for processing.Then, go to the cashier's window for payment.

2.3. Finally proceed to the Registrar's window for issuance of Class Card(s) for those who added a subject (s). Previous Class Card must be surrendered to the Registrar's Office in exchange for a new Class Card for those who changed subject (s).

2.4. All adding/changing of subject(s) should be done during the period specified in the GSB School Calendar.

2.5. A subject will only be considered officially enrolled if the Adding/Changing Form has been processed through the Accounting Office.

2.6. Copy of the Adding/Changing Form duly validated by the GSB Office, Accounting Department and Registrar's Office (if applicable) should be returned to the GSB Office.

3. PROCEDURE IN APPLYING FOR A CHANGE OF GRADE

3.1. Secure an "Application for Change of Grade" form (2 copies) from the Registrar's Office. Professor concerned should properly fill-up the form and attach necessary documents if applicable. Submit the form to the GSB Office for the Dean's endorsement for approval. The said form will be forwarded to the Vice President for Academics' (VPA) Office for final approval, then to the Registrar's office for processing.

3.2. A student may apply for Certification of Grades (form at the Registrar's Office) for a copy of the change of grade.

3.3. Application for change of grades should be done not later than a term after the date of distribution of grades . Application beyond a term will be at the discretion of the GSB Dean.

4. PROCEDURE IN APPLYING for NINE (9) UNITS

4.1. Submit a letter of request addressed to the GSB Dean including the justification. Copies of all past class cards or a certification of grades validated by the University Registrar must be attached.

4.2. Once approved by the GSB Dean secure an Adding Form and follow the procedure for adding a subject.

4.3. Application for nine (9) units should be submitted right after the date of class card distribution to the GSB Office.

4.4. Application for nine (9) units will only be allowed until the 2nd session of the term has started.

4.5 Approval will be based on the following criteria: GPA and status of the student.

6. ACADEMIC HONORS

6.1. GSB grants academic honors to MBA Students on the following terms:

With Highest Distinction 3.90 - 4.00
With High Distinction 3.70 - 3.89
With Distinction 3.50 - 3.69

6.2. Provided that the student has no grade lower that 3.00 based on the credited courses as indicated per curriculum, including oral examination grade and written comprehensive examination grade (if applicable).

7. Intellectual dishonesty will be dealt with accordingly.
