Admission Policy

For all BSBA courses and BS in Office Administration:
1. A freshman is under probation for one (1) year.

In effect, he/she shall comply with the following:

a. A minimum load of not less than 15 units per term;
b. Not allowed to apply for Leave of Absence (LOA) except in case of emergency;
c. Not incur six (6) accumulated failed subjects.

(In the event the student incurs the aforementioned number of failed subjects, he/she shall be recommended to transfer to another college within the university;

2. The above provisions apply until the second year.
3. Deloading of subjects (equivalent to the number of units failed) is a precondition for enrollment the following semester until enrollment for third year, second semester.
4. On the third year, the institutional policy of accumulated failure of 24 units applies.
5. The student must finish his/her course within a maximum period of six years, inclusive of filed Leave of Absence, if any.

For BSBA Management Accounting:

A. Freshman

A freshman applicant must have:
1. NSAT score of 80% or better
2. Stanine of 6 (High Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination
3. A final average grade in high school (Form 137) of at least 80%


B. Shiftee

A student from another college or program of the University who wishes to shift to the BSBA Management Accounting Program should have:
1. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following:

a. an actual grade of at least 75% in all accounting subjects taken.
b. No failing grade in any subject from his/her current program.
c. An actual grade point average of at least 75% per semester from his current program.

2. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department);
3. A grade of at least 65% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
4. Stanine of 6 (high average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

C. Transferee

A student from another school who wishes to transfer to the program should have:
1. Passed the interview and evaluation by the chair based on the following:

a. A final grade of at least 80% in all accounting subjects taken;
b. No failing grade in any subject from his/her previous school;
c. An actual grade point average of at least 85% or its equivalent per semester from his/her previous school.

2. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
3. A grade of at least 65% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
4. Stanine of 6 (high average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

For BS Accountancy:

A. Freshman

A freshman applicant must have:
1. NSAT score of 85% or better.
2. A final average grade in high school (Form 137) of at least 85%.
3. Stanine of 7(High Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

B. Shiftee

A student from another college or program of the University who wishes to shift to the program should have:
1. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following:

a. an actual grade of at least 80% in all accounting subjects taken.
b. No failing grade in any subject from his/her current program.
c. An actual grade point average of at least 80% per semester from his current program.

2. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department);
3. A grade of at least 75% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
4. Stanine of 7 (high average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.


C Transferee

A student from another school who wishes to transfer to the program should have:
1. Passed the interview and evaluation by the chair based on the following:

a. A final grade of at least 85% in all accounting subjects taken;
b. No failing grade in any subject from his/her previous school;
c. An actual grade point average of at least 85% or its equivalent per semester from his/her previous school.

2. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
3. A grade of at least 75% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
4. Stanine of 7 (high average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.
