Admission Policy

Bachelor of Science in Accountancy

A. FOR FRESHMEN
A freshman applicant for admission to the BS in Accountancy Program must have:

a. NSAT score of not lower than 85%.
b. Stanine of 7 (Above Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.
c. A final average grade in high school (Form 137) of at least 85%.

B. FOR SHIFTEES*
A student from another college or program of the University who wishes to transfer to the BS in Accountancy Program should have:

a. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following requirements:

i. An actual final grade of at least 85% in all accounting subjects taken.
ii. No failing grade in any subject from his/her current program.
iii. An actual grade point average of at least 80% per semester

b. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
c. A grade of at least 75% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
d. Stanine of 7 (Above Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

C. FOR TRANSFEREES*
A student from another school who wishes to transfer to the BS in Accountancy Program should have

a. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following requirements:

i. A final grade of at least 85% in all accounting subjects taken.
ii. No failing grade in any subject from his/her previous school.
iii. A grade point average of at least 85% per semester from his previous school.

b. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
c. A grade of at least 75% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
d. Stanine of 7 (Above Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

*Shiftees and transferees may be accepted to the program only during the first semester.

Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting

A. FOR FRESHMEN
A freshman applicant for admission to the BS in Management Accounting Program must have:

a. NSAT score of not below 80% or better.
b. Stanine of 6 (High Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.
c. A final average grade in high school (Form 137) of at least 80%.

B. FOR SHIFTEES*
A student from another college or program of the University who wishes to transfer to the BS in Management Accounting Program should have:

a. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following requirements:

i. An actual final grade of at least 75% in all accounting subjects taken.
ii. No failing grade in any subject from his/her current from his current program.
iii. An actual grade point average of at least 75% per semester

b. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
c. A grade of at least 65% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
d. Stanine of 6 (High Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.

C. FOR TRANSFEREES*
A student from another school who wishes to transfer to the BS in Management Accounting Program should have

a. Passed the interview and evaluation by the Chair based on the following requirements:

i. A final grade of at least 80% in all accounting subjects taken.
ii. No failing grade in any subject from his/her previous school.
iii. A grade point average of at least 85% per semester from his previous school.

b. Passed the panel interview (3 faculty representatives from the department).
c. A grade of at least 65% in the qualifying examination based on the accounting subjects taken.
d. Stanine of 6 (High Average) or better in the College Entrance Examination.
