Mariano Alvarez HallMariano Alvarez Hall
Mariano Alvarez was the founder and President of the Sanguniang Bayang Magdiwang. With his revolutionary name "Mainam", Alvarez, together with his son and nephew, Santiago and Pascual, led the uprising in Noveleta on August 31, 1896. The Victory of the Alvarezes in Noveleta was followed by the other local victories in Cavite El Viejo, Imus, Silang and Dasmariñas.
Alvarez was the son of Severino Alvarez and Maria Malia of Noveleta. He had a teachers diploma which he obtained from Colegio de San Jose in Manila and he taught in Naic when he returned to his hometownm, he worked as Directorcillo for four years, Juez de Paz for two years, and Capitan Municipal for twelve years.
Alvarez wa born on August 19, 1831 and passed away on Auguat 25, 1924
