The One La Salle Scholarship Endowment Fund

All La Salle schools have been doing many initiatives here and there in preparation of the 2011 centenary celebration of the La Salle Brothers’ presence in the country, with the highlight of attaining a soaring One La Salle Scholarship Endowment Fund.

With De La Salle Philippines fronting this vision, One La Salle aims to unite the 18 Lasallian institutions in drawing together a billion of pesos that would give scholarships to at least 20% of the student population of the Lasallian district schools in the country. This will enable more individuals to receive and experience Lasallian education and training.

St John Baptist De La Salle, the Patron Saint of Educators, had extended hope to the needy through education. His works, together with his congregation, had at all times concentrated in giving opportunities to the poor; hence, this One La Salle Scholarship is the Lasallian community’s way to relive the dreams of St. La Salle and to respond to the plea of our society.

The One La Salle Scholarship amounts to one million pesos per scholar. Naming rights for the scholarship will be given to the benefactor/s. This and all other means to at least contribute will certainly impart Lasallian education to many.

Donors will be duly recognized in a special ceremony and will receive a plaque and token. Most importantly, they will be having the gratefulness of the entire Lasallian family for helping out in realizing this vision.

De La Salle University-Dasmariñas is in full support of this call as all campus activities, projects and major undertakings are apparently fastened to the One La Salle Scholarship. One of which is Piso Para sa Iskolar that has commenced 1st semester 2008.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni, partner companies, parents and others are encouraged to support this big program. Take part in this One La Salle Scholarship and treat a youth with a Lasallian education.
