An update of DLSU-D’s relief drive for Ondoy victims
Relief Operation keeps going

For the past week, the university has been very grateful as many have overwhelmingly shared to help those greatly affected by typhoon Ondoy. Students, parents, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, families and friends have given donations and contributed time and efforts. Classes may have been suspended starting September 30 but relief operations have been on the move. Received by LCDC, the university’s leading unit in the relief operation, donations and volunteers kept coming. In partnership with DLS-HSI, DLSU-D has already distributed relief goods to the  municipalities of Dasmarinas, Ternate and Bacoor, especially to the local communities situated near rivers and creeks. Taytay, Rizal will be visited soon.

LCDC will still be accepting donations specifically canned goods, noodles, sugar, and coffee until Friday, October 9.

Also, in response to the call of compassion and social responsibility, DLSU-D’s next target is to help in the rehabilitation needs of affected schools. May the community then keep on sharing cash donations for the classroom rebuilding and improvement that we could offer. We also encourage everyone to start donating school supplies (schoolbag, paper, pencil, pen, crayons, notebooks, plastic envelope, and the like).

Please give your donations to the LCDC Office, 2nd floor SBC Bldg. The office could also be reached at (046)416-45-96, local 3068. Look for Ms. Rio Ramos-Mazo, Director or Mr. Gerard Natividad, In-charge.
