The 20 percent scholarship target, plus the mandate of key offices, shows how committed the University is in making education accessible and sustainable specifically for the underprivileged but deserving youth. DLSU-D offers academic excellence through its high caliber instructors and professors. Currently, 73 percent of the teaching force has master’s degree, 7.6 percent are doctorate degree holders, and 18.5 percent are currently taking graduate studies. |
Getting a college degree in the midst of economic crisis |
DLSU-D offers opportunity for the underprivileged youth, through its various internally and externally funded scholarships, such as student assistantship program; faculty resource program; tuition fee discounts for editors, athletes, ROTC officers, Rondalla, and Performing Arts Group members; academic scholarships; entrance scholarship; and various scholarships sponsored by organizations, foundations, and agencies. As of schoolyear 2006-2007, the University has a total of 3,020 scholars. |

DLSU-D has cutting-edge facilities, which include Palaruang La Salle, featuring a standard oval with an eight-lane PU track and a multi-level grandstand which can accommodate 2,400 spectators; Aklatang Emilio Aguinaldo, a state-of-the-art library which houses various books and reading materials, three viewing rooms; and highly advanced laboratories for the colleges of Law Enforcement Administration and Public Safety, Science, Liberal Arts, International Hospitality Management, and Engineering, Architecture and Technology. |
