Project Background
The Office Improvement and Process Review Unit (OIPR) was established in 2004 as a support unit of the Information Technology Center tasked to document IT services, processes, and deliverables. It is also in charge of the alignment and maximization of the university processes which are relevant to information technology.
In 2005, an institutional committee called Policies and Procedures Committee (PPC) was created to initiate standardization of university policies and procedures. In addition, the committee aims to develop an automated system that will improve consolidation and archiving of all policies and procedures.
Recently, the functions of OIPR and those of the PPC were integrated. Such move was undertaken to further widen the scope of the OIPR function, and to serve as a support unit in implementing university governance through process documentation, review, consolidation, and streamlining of university policies and procedures. |
