It was in 2005 when the Communication Arts Department (CAD) convened selected departments of De La Salle University-Dasmariñas to sponsor different programs for the newly established “La Salle Radio” station. The Institutional Communication Office was one of the departments that participated.

The program of the ICO was called “Lite Spots” (Somewhere you want to be after a long day) which was eventually changed to “Lite Snacks.” It would have consisted of different segments such as news, tips, and interviews, should the station pushed through. Unfortunately, it did not materialize because of some operational concerns.

Fast forward to Summer 2008. The ICO received a correspondence from CAD again, inviting the office to be part of its revived 95.9 La Salle Radio station. This time, it pushed through.

It was during the first semester of schoolyear 2008-2009 that the ICO, with its program entitled “Lite Snacks with Sally & Lennox” started its broadcast. It aired every Wednesday (live broadcasting) & Monday (replay), from 2:30-3:00 pm.

Early topics discussed in the program were: The Enhanced Brother Scholarship program (EBSP), PAASCU, Enhanced Salary Standardization Scheme, One La Salle Scholarship Program, Nationalism, Library Collection, Linggo ng Wika special, and Charter Celebration.

Currently, “Lite Snacks with Sally & Lennox” airs every Thursday with replays on Tuesday. Its airtime has been extended to an hour (2:30-3:30 pm) to be able to provide up-to-date relevant pieces of information on various topics.
